Previously I would've agreed with this, but if you have a legit copy then there's no reason not to upgrade now.
For one, you're completely missing out on DX12 support (only available on Win 10), and an overall faster system. The upgrade from 7 to 10 cut my boot time from 50+ seconds to 30.
Not only that, my programs are available to me much quicker. On Windows 7, I'd have to wait a period of up to a minute after the boot sequence finished before my programs would open - On Windows 10 however, my programs are available to open from the very instant that the boot sequence is finished. Windows 10 is undeniably faster than 7, to a substantial degree.
Windows 7 was always my favourite OS too, but it's been 10 years since release and I do urge you to upgrade now.
Windows 10 also comes with a feature that allows you to convert your BIOS from Legacy to UEFI using a single line in command prompt.
Not only that, it's not just RoE; More and more cheats are requiring Windows 8.1 at the bare minimum - So upgrading straight to 10 for free is an option you should take while it still exists - You may decide to just put it off, but put it off for too long and you'll pretty soon reach a time where Win 7 won't support many cheats, if at all.
